Welcome to MC Northwood
The Staff Induction Programme (SIP) is one of
the mandatory tasks that newcomers must complete at HQ MC NORTHWOOD
within two weeks of joining. This SIP is placed in the NATO Secret MC
Northwood Web page, then we have removed the confidential information
and so you will have the opportunity to review all this unclassified programme before your arrival here. The SIP will guide you through the
other mandatory tasks and in the process provide you with essential
information both for the conduct of your day-to-day business and for
your own safety here at the HQ.
The SIP is a series of 6 Interactive Power Point presentations with link
to various WISE sites, but in this case, in the unclassified SIP, we
have had to remove the confidential part 5 and the hyperlinks to the
confidential sites but after your arrival you will have to complete this
SIP in the NATO Secret to get your Certificate of Completion. For this
reason, our recommendation is first to review this SIP and afterwards
continue with the unclassified Staff Officer Introduction Course.
The Staff Officer Introduction Course (SOIC) is a set of academic
lectures introducing different divisions/entities and special areas as
IKM, INFOSEC, PAO, etc, to get the integration of the newcomers to the
HQ easier and quicker by giving you a comprehensive package of MC
Northwood.
In the same way, for sending you the information of the SOIC before your
arrival, we have removed the confidential information. Anyway, all of
you will have the opportunity to attend the full SOIC within one
month of joining and even some Staff pre-Introduction Course during
summertime if you are going to stay at HQ MC Northwood at that time.
